When to Visit North Cyprus
Many people ask that question, and there is not one answer to the question, it is a bit of "there's horses for course's"
We all have our different like's and dislikes and what may suit one will not suit the other.
Known for its long, hot summers and its mild, short winters, Northern Cyprus promotes a relaxed and healthy way of life.
Outdoor pursuits thrive in the 320 plus days of sunshine each year, and a sea temperature which rarely drops below 16 C.
In high summer, daytime temperatures rise to 30C and more, and the balmy evenings lend themselves to leisurely
al fresco dinners.
North Cyprus Weather & Climate
Cyprus enjoys an intense Mediterranean climate, with long dry summers from mid-June to mid-September and with mild winters ( not winter as you know it,) from December to February, more like UK spring days with occasional showers.
These are separated by short autumn ( October, November) and spring (March, April & May) seasons, Spring and Autumn are more like the best of the weather
in a British summer without the rain.
Summer is the season of high temperatures with cloudless skies, but the sea breezes create a pleasant atmosphere in the coastal areas.
Winters are mild with some rain, but even in January usually the coolest month - there are generally six hours of bright sunshine during the day, and warm enough for some to sun bathe, you cannot do that in the UK.
During the summer months very light clothing is all that you will need.
In spring and autumn daytime temperatures are generally warm enough for light summer clothing, but
in the evenings, one might feel the need for a light jacket or pullover / cardigan.
In winter, you should be prepared for all kinds of weather that a European spring may bring. It is advisable to pack a light jacket and pullovers, although you may not need them during the day.
